Dr. Fine says the more we de-stigmatize sexuality the more freedom people have to step into a healthy sexual relationship with themselves and others. She discusses the fact that human-beings are hard-wired for intimacy and connection, and we need it in order to survive. She shares that we do face negative health consequences if we aren’t getting adequate connection. Dr. Fine shares that while there has been some progress towards societal sex-positivity there is still a lot of work and progress that needs to be made. She believes that finding spaces and people to be vulnerable with are a gift, and to be truly alive is to experience your sexuality.
