Indigo Stray Conger highlights one of the strongest benefits is that people are able to safely explore areas of their sexuality with another human being. She also described a process that happens neurologically on cam sites known as limbic resonance, which is deeply connective between two people. She said this process can quite literally extend someone’s life because research has shown that “loneliness” does literally kill and shorten people’s lives. Chronic loneliness is said to have the same effects on someone’s health as them smoking 2 packs of cigarettes a day. Indigo really championed the need for education reform in regards to sexuality, especially for children, so that they will stop automatically associating sex with shame and guilt when it is a primal part of being human.
