Erica Lemke says our sexuality is part of our whole health, and we can’t actually have whole-body wellness if we are lacking in sexual expression. She discusses the fact that there is societal shaming around sexuality that starts in childhood and most people have been affected by this which is a reason why there is high levels of sexual-disfunction in some adults. According to Erica we should be given societal permission to be sexual-beings which is what we are born as. Her daughter is an adult entertainer and she said she’s proud of her because she’s doing what she loves! As a sexologist, Erica sees that women seem to struggle more with not feeling empowered to express or seek out their pleasure. Erica believes models show a lot of courage and power in how they’ve taken control of their pleasure and the pleasure of others. She believes that members engage in sex-work as means to be seen and heard.
